HOME SICK :’-(

It was inevitable.  At some point we figured it would hit.  Homesickness.

It hit last night on the way home from the meeting.  By the time we were “home” we had 3 sad little kiddos.  So we all got into our pj’s, had some english muffins w/ peanut butter and sat down and talked about what we miss.  I am glad that they all could tell us how they were feeling.  And they were relieved to talk about it too.

Today everyone is feeling much better.

We all miss people and places and things back home.  We have been away for nearly 3 weeks.  The kids have done so great and this trip is a big deal.  We are getting more and more familiar with our surroundings.

We are really interested in simplifying our life and living somewhere that will open new horizons for our family.  That is not an easy decision -and it has not been made yet.  This is going to be a family decision.

It sure is great to hear from friends back home.  Thanks for all the comments on the blog.  It’s so exciting to check email and see your messages.  Thank you!!!

We are having a wonderful visit with the congregation in Ajijc, Jalisco.  It is a bunch of lively brothers and sisters who have made changes in their life to be able to answer the call to serve where the need is great.

There are some kiddos that are great new buddies to our 3 kiddos.  Brycen is coming over tomorrow to hang with Austin by the pool.

Today we went in service and for the first time in his life Austin was invited inside a home to sit at a table and have a long Bible discussion.  He was so excited.  He said “it was great!”.  He was jumping up and down waiting to tell me.  And then we munched on some yummy tacos Mikee picked up from a vendor on the side of the road.

We all had a nice morning.  Mikee found 10 people home in 12 houses.  I met 2 very interested people and now have 2 rv’s to look forward to.  The people in the car group say it’s a sign that we must stay here in Ajijic.   😉

I miss you guys, too, as we all do. Last night at the meeting I looked around and thought of you when you weren’t in your usual places. But I’m also happy and very excited for you that you can have this great adventure that you’ve planned for so long.
Juanita was asking for you and said to say Hi.

Hi, Austin. A young friend stopped by (he didn’t leave his name) and dropped off your book
“The Tale of Despereaux”. He said to tell you “thank you”.
Have fun today in your pool with your new Bud!

    Hi Enos Family!!!

It’s strange to look around at the meeting & not see your family there. I miss all of your comments, too! Little Miss Asha wanted me to ask you to tell India she says “hi” and that she misses her. She didn’t realize where you all went & was surprised when I showed her on a map. She “pretend fainted”. Silly girl! Glad Mike had such an amazing office! He got the large “corner office with huge windows”, huh? Tee-hee! Happy to hear the kids are getting to know some other kids & that they have companions while you are there. The pool looks like it’s a lot of fun!!!! Please know I send a lot of love your way. Continue to enjoy your time there – especially field service! ((hugs))
