PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – A severe winter storm is set to arrive in Southern New England midday Sunday, disrupting travelers as they try to return from the Christmas holiday and then head back to work on Monday.

The National Weather Service put a Blizzard Warning into effect starting Sunday at noon and continuing through Monday at 6 p.m. for all of Rhode Island except Block Island and all of eastern Massachusetts except Cape Cod and the Islands.

Between 15 and 20 inches of snow could fall throughout the area, combined with potentially damaging winds and scattered thunderstorms, the Weather Service said. As much as 2 to 4 inches of snow per hour is likely to fall on Sunday night.

Isn’t that just wonderful?  🙁

We had a really good day today packing. We’re supposed to wrap it up tomorrow afternoon, but doesn’t look like that’s in the cards…

Gotta come up with a plan “B”
