WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BEACH?

We live high (way high) in the mountains on a lake.  Actually, the lake is the crater of a dormant volcano and is nestled up inside a range of mountains.  Very pretty!

But I miss seeing the ocean!

What’s your favorite beach?

Appropriately called THE OCEAN STATE, Rhode Island has over 400 miles of beautiful coastline.  We have frequented most of it.  (one summer I was determined to visit each of the beaches -it was a tough assignment but we made it)  😉

We spent a lot of time in Newport.

-the night Mikee proposed, we were walking along the dark (new moon=dark; full moon=light –ask Mikee for the story sometime) Easton’s Beach

-our famous “fill up the back of the truck” fourth of July beach days were at Second Beach

-walking along Cliff Walk or hanging out in Purgatory Chasm

-bringing the kids and some “italian grinders” to fly kites at Brenton Point and then across the street to catch starfish in the rocky tidepools

-that is also where a cute little Nicolina and I climbed way way way out on the rocks and almost went swimming when a rogue wave came up on us

-a helicopter tour (yes, that’s was kind of scary!) to take cool shots from way up high of the gorgeous coastline (also another story you will have to ask Mikee about)

So, anyways.  You get the idea.  We spent a lot of our time along the ocean.  And not just Newport either.  There are many other shoreline spots we love!  Bristol.  Galilee.  Narragansett.  Jamestown.  Tiverton.  Wickford.  Watch Hill.  Block Island.  etc, etc, etc.  We love fishing, surfing, eating clamcakes and chowder.

The point of all this?

WE SPENT THE LAST 11 DAYS AT THE BEACH!!!

*\o/* *\o/* *\o/* THREE CHEERS

Puerta Vallarta -we will be back!

So, what’s your favorite beach?

my favorite beach was on the south coast of Bermuda while on my honeymoon. I’ve never seen such a pretty shade of blue water. we actually brought home some of the sand and put it in a glass jar to relive the memories.

We had fun at a little beach in St. John where we went snorkeling, but the best part was the lady who came to sunbathe with her two mules. They just followed her around and plopped in the sand next to her and left when she did….too cute!

Awesomely nice aerial shot of narragansett bay! Is it from the Helicopter Tour your folks and sister gave you? If so, sorry for the heart palpitations, but glad you survived with such a b-u-tiful souvenir.
