While we were in Tapalpa some students approached me and asked if they could take Selena’s picture. She gets stared at pretty much everywhere we go with her light hair. I asked Selena if she was comfortable with the idea and she said, “Si.”
Friday was an enjoyable day. We were with good friends and we visited a new pretty place. The flood part was not fun but it was memorable. Saturday night some girls came over and we had fun playing Apples to Apples. We each had different reasons but all were in need of some girl time and appreciated the time to enjoy popcorn and time together and just laughing.
A special thanks to Gale and to Judy for offering their cameras. Mikee had ours in Salt Lake City and it would have been disappointing to miss out on the pictures of the kids in Tapalpa and the rocks.
In town we found a little shop that sells these puzzles we love…
We play apples to apples too. Sarah asked for it for Christmas last year. The puzzles are very colorful. I couldn’t tell if they were made of wood or some other material.
Hi Ginny. 🙂 The puzzles are wood. Aren’t they cool?
Hi Family! Looks and sounds like quite an exciting day! What an “escapade”! That would’ve been a fun trip to take with you guys. Tapalpa reminds me of Mazatmitla – another cute village on the other side of the lake and mountains. Wish we were there to help with the water crisis too – sorry… Miss you all!
WHOEVER MADE THE PUZZLES HAD SOME HI TECH EQUIPTMENT. IT WAS TO JOIN YOU ON YOUR TRIP.
Oh Camille! They have a Babushka (Matroshka) Puzzle. How cool – how much is that? I wonder if I could order it somewhere. 🙂
Jess… You know we all thought of you when we saw that Matroshka. The picture was for your enjoyment. 🙂
Wow. We were really shocked at the water story….what a mess. I can’t imagine keeping too cool in those circumstances…whoa. Sorry to hear about the books too….whah. You are a brave woman Camille, maybe we should use the word courage. Good job!!
