PI DAY (has it really been a year?) (by Austin)

Wow. I can not believe it has really been a year since I wrote the last post about Pi Day.

In case you haven’t read my last one, here’s an explanation of Pi day.

Pi is a very strange decimal number that never terminates. Pi goes on forever. Its mathematical digit looks like π. It’s used to find the area of a circle. The area of a circle is about 3 times the radius, exactly 3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937510… (on and on) which can be shortened to 3.14.

March 13th is Pi day because the date reads 3/14 or 3.14.That’s what this post is all about.

So, with out further adieu…

HAPPY PI DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay!

And what better way to celebrate Pi day than looking at funny pictures?

We saw this shirt at the Boston Museum of Science

This one took me a while to understand. (HINT: LOOK AT WHAT WORD THE BACKWORDS NUMBERS RESEMBLE)

That’s all for now.

What’s YOUR favorite PI?  (Sorry, I mean PIE)

IT WAS FUN AND EDUCATIONAL TO GET YOUR THOUGHTS ON PIE & PI.

Austin, Hi! Your post made me think about a dog I had when I was a kid, his name was Mr. Pi. He was a huge black & silver Akita with a white Pi sign on his chest. He was a great dog, very sweet but he weighed about 150 lbs., so you can just imagine how much he ate! As for regular pie, we love all kinds of fruit pie around here. Have a great day!

    Hi Enos Family!
I don’t know how to use blogs very well so I didn’t know how else to contact you, other than to comment on a post. Are you all in the States this month? Will you be Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island? Luke and I would love to see you! I have heard much about you. Please email Luke and let us know your plans and if that is possible.
    Pam and Luke
