A CHANGE OF SCENERY

A couple weeks ago we had the opportunity to head out to Manzanillo in the state of Colima.  Manzanillo sits on the coast about 4 hours drive below Puerto Vallarta.  It is home to Mexico’s busiest port.

This was a last minute quick little change of scenery.  Mikee gave a talk at the local Kingdom Hall and our friends were kind enough to offer us their condo.

We were just looking forward to a couple days near the beach and a chance to visit with some friends that we enjoy but are usually too busy to have our paths cross.

Isn't this vista from the balcony just beautiful?

Our condo looked over the Pacific Ocean and the pool and these cute kiddos

The sunsets here are pretty amazing

We met up with some friends here at La Sonrisa. TACO ARRECHERA Y CHORITZO -mmm...

I wanted to show you this yummy food, but...

The next day we met up with some different friends here. The fish tacos were DELICIOUS!

Austin didn't expect the fresh shrimp in his soup to be THIS fresh

On Sunday the main part of this street is closed to car traffic

...and open for families & dogs walking, biking & roller blading

I am seriously thinking about coming to Mexico (maybe the Chapala area) during the winter months and would love some input on what I should do before I contact the Branch. Please share some of your advice (safety, etc.). Thanks so much!
