Do you buy fresh local honey?
If you do, don’t you just love the taste?
We LOVE the local honey here. It has a fresh taste that is very different than the chemical stuff from the store. It tastes very clean.
The first time we bought some, we were on our way to the Organic Market in Ajijic and we passed these guys selling out of the back of their truck.
We tried it and found it to be fragrant, delicate and delicious. It’s ok to taste it right there and be sure that you like the flavor -and that it is real.
The problem with this wonderful honey is that we are not the only ones that love it. So do the teeny tiny little spec size ants. After several experiments with how to keep them out, Mikee figured out the best way.
He proudly calls it…
A HONEY MOAT
He puts the container in a bowl with a little bit of water and that has solved the problem.
Isn’t he clever? I just love how he comes up with stuff like that. After all these years I am still amazed. 🙂
If I sit in the middle of a pool, maybe nobody will “bug” me.
