WE MOVED -BUT NOT FAR

We moved!
You know, our life is so boring that we decided to add a little more excitement.
😉

We didn’t move far.  Just a bit further up the mountain.

On Thursday night our view from our old house over Lake Chapala looked like this…

And our view from the new house on Friday morning looked like this…

And we noticed a recurring theme…

We move into homes on steep hills with lots of steps.  We really need to do something about that because it makes the moving process just crazy tiring.

Ginger Kitty figured out the most efficient way to pack hangers

India opened up both doors to keep things running quickly

Great helpers. Lots of stairs.

And even more stairs outside

We have a collection of different color rubbermaid bins for each person in the family

Dismantling the old office

Our neighbor always is “fixing” something in this spot of his yard -which is code for watching everything we do over the fence 😉

Rick’s expert driving skills to maneuver on the steep cobblestone road and back the trailer into the little driveway of the new house

All that stuff has to now go up more stairs

The girls gladly volunteered to ride in the back of this truck and make sure our mattresses were safe

New house: dining & living area

New house: dining & kitchen area w/ hallway leading to our bedroom

New house: kitchen & laundry area (hooray for a washer inside the house!)

New house: stairway to second floor

New house: Austin’s room

New house: upstairs terrace

Our friends Chad & Ellice lived in this home when we first came to Mexico.  Then our friends Mike & Blanca moved in.  We were excited to have the opportunity to know it was available.  I love that there is color as this was really missing from our other home.  Now, enough hanging out with you all, I have to get to work and unpack.

The “boy team” has their priorities and got right to work setting up their fav spot 🙂

I have found memories of the family move when I was kid…and it looks like your kids will have the same! It’s such a great adventure for little kids. The new place looks so pretty and I hope you are settling in without any mishaps 🙂
