IT’S GONNA BE A GREAT WEEK

…I hope.

We have been a little quiet on the blog lately.  Mostly because life is anything but quiet.  Rather than listing all details of dealing with inefficient bureaucratic immigration problems; or  the lacking ability to purchase quality items like car parts or coffee makers; the waves of transition with the many changes to the volunteer work we do; falling miserably behind on the mountain of laundry since our washer/dryer has not worked for 2 weeks; trying to figure out how to get some important mail delivered down here -I’ll save those for later because they really are kind of funny stories.  But they make for a hard  time keeping up.

I AM going to give you my optimistic forecast for the week…

…looking forward to the kiddos finishing up this school year (which means time to start planning the new school year); getting outside a little more since the weather has returned to its normal gorgeous; having some new friends over for tacos; sneeking away for a lunch date with Mikee.

The biggest thing to move on is school and it’s “go time” so I’ll see you later.

Hope you have a nice week too.

HA. Nothing new. This is to answer the many inquiries of why we are quiet on the blog. 🙂

I haven’t checked your blog for ages. You do such a great job. You may not remember us even. We are from Twin Falls, Idaho and my daughter, Leah is married to Japheth Partridge, grandson of Wright (Dwight) & Joy Duggan. We thought you might like to know that Dan & I are planning to move to Poza Rica, Veracruz in November 2014 to work with the English congregation for 6 months. Perhaps we will cross paths with you sometime, someplace!
You have such a lovely family and you’re giving them such a rich life of priceless experiences.
Japh & Leah have been working at Walkill for 6 months & we’ll get to see them for a short while before their next assignment on the international front!

we feel your pain and know what it’s like when “simple things” just aren’t that simple in a foreign country. But it sounds like you have a good attitude about it. Sometimes there’s nothing more you can do than laugh it off and carry on. If nothing else, when all is said and done it will make a good story, right?!
