Recently, we took a family trip out to the Pacific coast to Puerta Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta (meaning NEW Vallarta, and is a 20 minute ride north).
We originally planned on going for just a week of April 30th – May 7th to a resort called Paradise Village. (If you know Alison Rostron, you have to click that link. Look at the operator in the top right corner, doesn’t that look just like Ali? )
We heard it was a great place. It’s a timeshare place, so the best way to visit is to either trade your timeshare to come here, or buy a get-a-way from Interval International. The resort was excellent. They had 2 tigers at the hotel, a bunch of parrots, multiple pools, etc… Despite the 6 hour “S” curve, up the mountain, down the mountain CRAZY drive. We all want to go back again. 🙂
Our friends the Ronans were going to Puerta Vallarta the previous week, so we went and tacked on 3 extra nights and met up with them the middle of their week. We stayed at a nice condo in a very nice Holiday Inn. (Hats off to Jeff at SelectVR.com who went the extra mile to help us get what wee needed last minute!) The pictures you see in the beginning of the bay and mountains and the fireworks were all taken from the balcony of this condo!
The fireworks you see at the end of the video below, started exactly as we walked into the room one night. Listen to Selena keep talking about Disney World. It’s so cute. 🙂
During the journey you see lots of interesting things. The bluish plants you see are agave plants used to make tequila. At times you do see truckloads of armed soldiers cruising down the highways, trying to keep things safe.
So even before we took this trip, Camille wanted to make a slide show of the pictures we’d be taking during this trip. She even spent a bunch of time finding the right background music.
It’s a great way to see some of the fun we had on this trip.
So if after the video you have any questions or comments, or just want to tell Camille that all those nights she stayed up late toiling over her computer making that video was worthwhile, leave a comment below 🙂
