PAAMUL BEACH

Some of the most beautiful beaches in the world can be found on the Caribbean Sea from Cancun down to Belize.

The other day we tried out a new little spot.

We drove a whole 9 minutes from our home & met up with some friends in Paamul.

Paamul is a small bay snuggled into the coastline that pretty much only locals come and enjoy.  It does not get crowded with tourists and fancy amenities.  It does have the right ingredients for pristine tropical beach hideaway feel -a natural landscape complete with white sand, coral reef, tropical fish, and turquoise water.  (As for the water, I cannot describe it just as turquoise.  There are hues of blue, turquoise, green and a dozen shades in between.)

There is a small neighborhood where ‘snow birds’ park their trailers under palapa roofs and enjoy several months of a simpler pace of life.  There are also cabanas for rent.

Paamul is kind of a hidden little gem in that most of the crowds of tourists do not venture outside of Playa del Carmen or off their resorts.  If you are looking for a day at the beach stripped down to the basic recipe of sun, sand, reef and palms then you will savor this spot.

Looks like a great beach! BTW, that is a dead fish in that picture. You’re welcome.

I agree with Jim. It’s a dead fish. Beach looks great! Maybe we can visit that one next time. The partial fish, by the way, is a parrot fish.

Thanks for your insights Jim and Dean. 🙂

Beautiful! Everyone looks so happy and healthy. I love the pictures of “looking up” at the birds. Perfect shot!

Love and miss you all. We head to Hawaii in June (will be there over our Anniversary :-)) Finally the beach!!

    Love Jess & Scott

Greetings Enos family! Thanks for giving us a glimpse of the Yucatan. Do you know any brothers from Poza Rica or Tuxpan, Veracruz ( English)? We’re making plans to go there later this year for a few months to help out but lost our contact for some reason.
By the way, do you remember meeting Japheth & Leah Partridge? They are now serving in Columbia South America as Int’l Servants. (She’s my baby girl).

Hi Cambells! Our friends that were in that area have moved. I will try and check around to see if we can find some new contacts for you. Thanks for the update!

Hello, my sis… It reminds me of fish I used to see in Jamaicaa… called Parrot Fish.

Really do enjoy your blog… I was not fortunate enough to get to meet you in person, but Anita Cesar, one of my dear friends, shared pictures of y’alls “tea party” at Judy Jones Casita in Joco in 2011. I used to live in the casita up the hill, by the property owner’s home. Had to move back to the states in 2009. Would have loved to have known you and family. Still love MX, and wish circumstances were different… oh well, what a wonderful future we have to look forward to!!!!!
